The Forgotten Female Artists: An Activity Book

This Activity Book was created for my Major Project. Before completing the research, I did not understand the extent to which female illustrators and others in the creative industry have struggled. Though it is not perfect today and lots still need to be done, I wanted to draw attention and celebrate those who have become forgotten or not as celebrated as other male figures, even though they helped create major changes for the creative world.

I feel that knowing about these people is especially important for those who want to enter the creative field and learn and develop their skills at the same time. Influenced by the workshops I completed in my degree, whilst also referring to the practices of the artists, I have created a series of workshops to enjoy, such as Lino-printing, Character Design, Embroidery and much, much more.

I want to note that there are many more female artists than the ones I was able to mention. I decided to draw upon Mary Moser, Anni Albers, May Morris, Miriam Schapiro, Alma Thomas and Wanda Gág.
